What do you think your skills are?
My best skils which learnt from my As portfoilo which i will take forward our skills such as team work, creativity, time managment and applying my knowedge of conventions. From these skills i will hope to achieve a high standerd of work where i hope to expand my skills.
Initial ideas
Short film - Our groups first idea was a short film by the title of 'Secrets behind the mirror' and the story line is a 40-50 year old male rents out the top floor of his to a proffesional female aged 25-30. However, within the top floor of the house there are 2 way mirrors which the landlord can gain access to through secret passages withinh the house. The two way mirrors allows the man to spy on the lady and watch her every movement. With this idea, we also made up a catchy line which describes the short film ' Millions of people walk past us in the streets and discount us, but imagine one was watching?'
Music video - our groups second idea was to come up with a music video project. So we started of listing all the genre of music we can think of such as:
Rock
pop
hip hop
RnB
drum and bass
Once we listed a few, we then chose a pop and listed all the artist we could think for pop, then after that process we choose Olly murs. Meanwhile we created a mind map to show our ideas about the music
video
The next step
From our group discusion, we concluded the information we gathered from our research into current music videos and decided on what we need to do to for our next step. we must check what location are free for filming and what equipment we require to film the video.
Genre
our group firstly chose three genres to research to gain inspiration for our music video. the first of three genres we researched was punk. to find out more about the genre we used YouTube.com to listen to the songs within the genre. one band our group took a liking to were Blink 182. During the song we brain stormed ideas about what we could to within out music video. meanwhile our second genre we chosen was rock, where we researched into another band called Sum 41 which again our group took a liking to. then the last genre we researched was Rnb which unfortunately we felt wasn't as strong as the others to be able to make a music video.
